DB performance

Hello All,

DD cache quality is showing 94% still the performance is down. What could be the reasons?.

Hi Eldo,

1) Please check what is the buffer utilization using ST02

2) Please check the network response using niping . Refer document in link for details on execution http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SL/Useful+niping+cmd+for+some+known+network+issue

3) Check whether DB statistics is being executed on daily basis.

4) Check Tablespace has enough space and oraarch directories have enough space.

5) Check OS performance viz CPU utilization, swap utilization etc.

Even after  completing this preliminary tuning steps performance is still bad , request you to post actual error messages on performance with detailed information.
