migrating only schedules from BO3.1 to BI4.1

Hi BO Experts,

Just wonder if there is a way to just migrate schedules instead of all instances from the old 3.1 to the new 4.1 system using the upgrade managment tool?

     You have TWO options:

1. User BOE XI 3.1x Import Wizard to create .BIAR file and import it into BI 4.x using Promotion Manager.
2. Use Upgrade Management Tool BI 4.x to connect to BOE XI 3.x environment and use BI 4.x as the Destination

in the Upgrade Management tools, how to I excludes the other instances ?

I thought the only option is to migrate with or without the instances.

is there a way to choose a single instance ?

Hi Vincent,

you are right, it is only possible to migrate with instances or not. It is not possible to only migrate the Schedules without the instances.

      Since you only want the ORIGINAL schedule ONLY, your best option is to create a BIAR using the XI 3.x Import Wizard.  The Import Wizard has the option to choose NO Instances.

Use UMT to do a BIAR to LIVE system upgrade, see below

Like Sebastian say, if we have 10 instances, one of them is a recurring "instance" , it is not possible to just select the recurring "instance" even with import wizard.

Yes agree with Vincent. We have to either move all instances(recurring schedule is part of Instances) or none.

If we do not select "to import all instances", then recurring instances are also not migrated.
