SAP GUI 7.30

I have recently installed the SAP GUI 7.30. When launching the saplgpad.exe, I see that the icons are all greyed out. What is the fix for this?

Check SAP GUI Options under SAP Logon Options->General. Make sure that Disable editing of connection entries does not checked.

Hi Roman

It is already unchecked & that whole section is also greyed out too.

This is by design:

Saplogonpad.exe is read-only so that end-users cannot change/delete entries.

Does the issue occur in saplogon.exe?

Hi Jude

It seems as if I no longer have saplogon.exe. It disappeared in the upgrade. How do I restore it?.

Is this a standalone installation that you upgraded yourself?  Or is it pushed from a server installation point?  If it was pushed, and is part of a package, your system administrator might have removed the saplogon.exe option from the package.  Otherwise, you should be able to run nwsapsetup.exe again and make sure the option for SAP Logon is checked.

Stand alone installation which I downloaded from the internet. It seems as if the issue is that missing file.

I have uninstalled 7.30 & re-installed 7.20 for now.

Thanks to all.

Hello Matt,

If you download the compilation DVD from the marketplace

http://service.sap.com/swdc

Installations and Upgrades

Browse our Download Catalog

SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS

SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 7.30 CORE

Installation

Extract the files and navigate to

NW_7.0_Presentation_\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32\

then run SetupAll.exe ,expand the Sap Gui Suite and you should be able to check "Sap Logon Pad"

This will add it to the original SapGui Installation.
