Hi Suma

  1. Customs Documents are normally used for Comliance Management Area like SPL Check, Embargo Check ,License Determination at R/3 Sales order or Delivery level using the master data (Customer,Material) which were replicated from R/3 Documents
  2. Custom Declaration Documents are used to support the Import Export Process such as

  • Triggering required communication to Custom Authorities like SED (Shipper's Export Declaration),which are country and transaction specific.
  • Helping Logistics Process like Print out copy of B/L (Customs Bills of Lading)
  • Calculation of Custom Duty

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks

Hi Kusuma,

"Customs Document" is the general term used in GTS for a transactional document (typically a "replica" of an ERP document, such as a Sales Order or Delivery).

A "Customs Declaration" is a specific type of document that is used to submit an Import, Export or Transit declaration to the authorities, featuring message determination, incompletion checking and other features that allow the user to collect and send the necessary information.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Dave
