Restrict Network User to Edit Word Document

I have one issue in DIR, While attaching the MS Word Documents. in DMS net work users can edit the original and download a copy, How to restrict

Hi,

For this you have to use locked(s) status type. Its locked for editing

SPRO->Cross App Components->Document Management->Control Data->Define Document Type->Select Document type->Define Document Status->here create a new status or marked appropriate status as 'S' in Document status Type filed(Ty.)
