Dear All,
Operating System: AIX
Dtabase used: Oracle
we are using one Solman Server ONLY. In this Solman Server , we have two database used namely IDS and SMI.
Both the above SIDs ( SMI & IDS ) are installed in a single Solman Server.
/usr/sap/smi & /usr/sap/SMD
Currently we are doing fresh Solman installation 7.1 in SOLMAN Server ( thatis; Inst. SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR1 AIX - Oracle).
/oracle is the oracle base directory used for SMI and IDS . The below are the Files used in /oracle.
NOTE: Before doing Solman installation, the SID used for Solman is SMD. Now we planned to change SID of Solman dfrom SMD to SMI.

Hello RB,
Thanks for the SOLUTION.
Already user home directory of orasmi is /oracle/smi. Anyway we are proceeding with the Oracle installation by giving the oracle base directory as /oracle/SMI and user home directory also /oracle/SMI.
In SAP Note # 1521371 , We have given the oracle base directory as
/oracle/SMI and we are getting a Warning Message as
"INS-32008: Oracle base location cant be the same as the user home
directory".
But as mentioned in the SAP Note # 1521371, we are ignoring this warning and continued with the Oracle installation.
ALSO, Since we are not using SOLMAN as production System, We have also taken the backup of below folders in /oracle for safer side. .
