Issue in editing the Java Mapping from NWDS

Hi All,

I am working on SAP PI 7.31 SP03.I wanted to write a java mapping and I am following the below blog:

I connected to ESR from NWDS. I opened the message mapping with Java Editor, but I am not able to edit the message mapping.I am getting the error saying that there is error in cheching out the object. Please suggest me how can I edit the message mapping. I have attached the error, which I am getting in NWDS.

HI,

you are forbidden to get this object from NWDS.

Check the user under you are connecting to ESR and his roles.

Hi Mikhail,

Thanks for the reply. What roles we need to have to edit the message mapping from NWDS. I am using the same user, which I was using to log-in into SAP PI system. I am able to create the objects if I log-in into ESR but I if am connecting to ESR from NWDS with the same user, I am facing the issue.

I am using NWDS of version SAP 7.3 EHP1  SP08 PAT0002 and PI of version  SAP PI 7.31 SP03 Dual Stack.
