Transaction CO09: Cumm. ATP quantity change behavior?

Hi Experts,

My client asked me about transaction CO09 i.e. Availability Overview, where the cumm. ATP qty column shows the available to promise qty per segement wise like plant stock, stor.loc stock, batch stock and batch-stor loc stock. In the MRP element on today's line i can see the cumm. ATP qty which is correct but inside the segment, the cumm. ATP qty is NOT changing as per receipt/requirement like it does in MD04 transaction.

When i checked with different materials and checking group and checking rule wise, i found strange behavior as at some places this cumm. ATP qty is not changing per MRP element wise but at some places it is changing per MRP element wise (and date wise as well).

Can somebody please let me know what is the standard behavior of cumm. ATP qty per MRP element wise?
