Hi Experts,
We have installed ECC 6.0 EHP6 and all the software components are in initial shipment package as below :

So we have few queries on the patching :
- We need to patch our stack to the latest SP. Latest SP available in market is SP11, as an N-1 preference we planned to go for SP10, but in MOPZ while selecting the target it gives option only for SP11 in the drop down nothing else. Any reason for it ?
- Need to incorporate ESS/MSS functionality as well, so can we include the respective add-on/Packages for ESS/MSS in the same stack ?
If yes where/what can I select in MOPZ ?
- As you could see our SAP-HR, EA-HR LSOFE are still in 600 release. If we select the target package in MOPZ to the latest will it upgrade the SAP_HR 600, EA-HR 600& LSOFE 600 components to SAP-HR 604, EA-HR 606, LSOFE 606 ?
- If I had to install HR-Renewal 1.0 I believe we would need EA-HR 607 and LSOFE 607 as a prerequisite, so can that be included in the same stack ?

Hi,
We have updated SAP-BASIS component to SP11 through SPAM as a
resolution to the dump which we were getting while pushing data to SOLMAN SLD from
RZ70. So is there any other possibility to go for SP10 for the remaining
stack?
Now that I have selected EHP Installation instead of Maintenance in
MOPZ, got an option to select technical usages where I have selected HCM
components after which in the Add-On section I could see HR Renewal 1.0
and MSS !!! However it is allowing me to select only one among the HR
Renewal and MSS Add-on !!! Is there any reason behind ?
So I have separately added the EAHR_MSS files into download basket and
with 'Include/Exclude files from Download Basket' I have added the
respective Add-on and SP packages to generate the XML.
Is this the right practice ??
Do we have any specific known errors or SAP notes which I have to
implement/follow before going ahead with the stack upgrade, HR Renewal,
MSS installation in ECC6.0 EHP 6?

No, you have to patch your whole system to SP11. You could select all components by hand, but this is not recommended.
Have you checked the dependencies of your usage types? You should check with SAP Solution Browser . Normally, when the system is maintained correctly, you shouldn't have to manually add files.

If MOPZ is not letting you select the patch level lower than SP11 then there should be a reason behind that and the only one I can see is that the SAP_BASIS level of the system is on 0011.
Depenencies between the packages are taken care by MOPZ and that is the reason why certain components cannot be unseleted during the stack file generation.
I would create a stack file with the required target level and then check the TXT version of the stack file to understand the components and the SP level.

Hi RB,
I have generated the stack.xml file and reviewed the TXT version, the SP level looks fine.However the for SAP_BASIS component SP level is showing as 0000, though it has already been upgraded to 11.
Is that a wrong sign ?

Hello RB,
I am also getting almost same issue ,
SAP_BASIS SP level 11
when I am trying to generate stack XML file for SP upgrade in ECC6.0 EHP6 system, few components are missing

I am using solutionmmanger 7.1 SP8
I have pushed data managed system to sloution manger , data is updated properly.
Kindly suggest how i can get it above components in XML file.

Hello
1 - This could most probably due to the fact that the SAP_BASIS level of the system is on 0011 why MOPZ is preventing you from selecting stack level 10. If that is not the case then I don't know.
2 - As far as I know the ESS and MSS are part of the SAP_HR packages. Also read this SAP note 1303362 - ESS/MSS and Enhancement Packages
3 - While generating a stack file in MOPZ there is an option called "Add HR packages" and also there is an option called HCM Components.
4 - MOPZ will take care of all the dependencies involved. So create a stack file with the target level and start the update using SUM

1. It should be possible, if not maybe your system isn't correctly maintained in LMDB - did you run verification?
2. For ESS/MSS, you need a J2EE portal system which connects to your ERP.
3. You have to select the upgrade option and choose the correct usage type for HR / HCM.
4. EA-HR 607 and LSOFE 607 can only be applied in a EhP7 system.
