Hi experts,

I am installing BW7.4 SP5 on SLES11 SP3 and getting following message right after I specify the KERNEL folder with 7.41 kernel

following things were done:

  • limits are set as required
  • sapconf is installed
  • process limits are set for @dba and @sapsys  both hard and soft
  • JAVA_HOME set
  • PATH is also set
  • installing under root user from csh

any ideas?

Seems that this error caused by damaged ZIP archive

I've checked the archive and it gave this error, exactly with this SAPJVM

/distr/KERNEL# unzip -tq 51048107_9.ZIP

error:  invalid compressed data to inflate DATA_UNITS/K_741_U_LINUX_X86_64/DBINDEP/SAPJVM6.SAR

error:  invalid compressed data to inflate DATA_UNITS/K_741_N_LINUX_X86_64/DBINDEP/SAPJVM6.SAR

At least one error was detected in 51048107_9.ZIP.

Download the package 51048107_9 once again and retry after extracting it.

Hi Kairat,

1) Can you check whether the SAPJVM.SAR file available in the path as per log.

2) Secondly you may try extracting manually and see whether it works.

3) Looks like DVD path is from NFS share. Could you check relevant permission to folders.

Hope this helps.

Check why the SAPCAR was not able to extract the SAPJVM archive before you manually do it. It should be visible in the logs.
