Hi All,
We are planning to migrate the domain of sap system to from A to B
All the systems are installed as local installation except production.
Production is on cluster.
Our environment
ERP, BI,PI,BO, and solution manager.
Kindly suggest steps to be considered for migrating the systems to new domain.
Regards
Jawwad Ali.
Dear Peter,
Does that mean that we create a stand by system with the db back restore.
to avoid the downtime. and perform system copy of production, break the cluster and rebuild with new domain and perform the installation on new domain with system copy method.
As PI is a dual stack system with standalone installation can we use system rename service.
Please suggest.
Regards
Ali.

If your system A to B are same hardware , Yes you can perform the same.
if the system (A to B) different H/W you can directly perform the System copy on system B H/W one time. in other one you may require to perform the system copy two times
As PI is a dual stack system with standalone installation can we use system rename service.
Once again you have to perform the standalone system copy
Step 1 - From Old domain failover cluster (System A) to standalone system for temporary (System x) Homogenous system copy method
Step 2 - Create the new cluster environment on the New domain( system B) perform the Homogenous system copy method from System X to B

Hi Jawwad
Could you refer the SAP Note 1233320 - Domain migration for SAP systems
Just try any one of the SAP Sandbox server
