New Installation Solman 7.1

Dear all,

I was wondering if there are any plans to update the installation media of Solution Manager 7.1 to a later support package stack than the available SR1 Release? Any input will be welcome!

I'm not aware of any plan but for sure it would be a great initiative !

Upgrading Solman from the included SP05 to SP10 took me 48 hours last time.

Very hard to explain to a customer that SAP delivers its products as kits and that you need more time to setup an administration tool as solman than to setup a business tools like ECC

Yes, indeed. It is a huge problem for us to explain that to customers, too! At least with SPS12 there should be new installatioin media to have everything settled during the intial installation...
