How to create XSLT file NWDS?

Hi Experts!

I am trying to create XML Scheme file in NWDS.

Please help me to find the steps for how to create XSL file in NWDS.

Provide some  tips also.

Hi

Click on File--->new--->other--->xml---->XSL

Choose folder , provide name and click on finish.

I unable to select folder but When I am trying to Proviide name to the Folder it shows error like this.

" The specified project does not exist "

Eventhat Finish button also in hide!

how can i slove it?

Hi

First create a java project.

File--new ---java project

provide project name and click on finish.

Once you do that you see the project name and under that there will be a folder called src.

Right click on src , then select new ---other---xml---xsl

provide name and click on finish.

Ok. I got it. I have small clarification, Without a project can t able to create Xsl fiile ?

And then why it's should Java Project?

Please say clear concept about this creation of xsl file and give some important tips for xsl easy file creation in NWDS

Coming to your second question ->

If you want to open the existing file then did you try File -> open file option?

Change the perspective to "xml" -> window -> open perspective -> XML

Hi

Well that's how we create any file in NWDS. First we create project and then folder and inside that the files.

Same way we do it for java mappings and adapter modules.

If you wan't ,yo can create xsl file in note pad also, don't spend time on how to create XSL file, rather try to learn XSLT concepts.

I am doing this xsl file for Adapter module. So that time also iwant to create Java Project?

Hi

XSL is used for XSLT mapping. I have never used XSL for adapter module.

For adapter module we need to create a EJB project and ejb bean.
