We are Hosting SAP FI/CO, book keeping Services (6.05 EHP 5). If we simply copy a Client from a customer with 'old' General ledger do we need to migrate to 'new' GL if we are using this one already?
Hi Thomas,
Data migration itself is project i just brief about the new GL Data migration they are as follow
1) Copy all the GL from old to new one
2) Activate the Document Splitting
3) Classify G/L account for document splitting
4) Classify Document type for document splitting
5) Define zero balance Clearing account
6) Define document splitting characteristic for general ledger accounting
7) Define Document splitting characteristic for controlling
😎 Activate the document splitting
9) Create a new GL for initial data upload
9) Prepare BADI/BDC/LSMW for data migration for all the GL
10) then GO Live Strategy need to follow with management type
Hope this is clear
Thanks

Hello Trinath,
thanks for your reply. But actually my question is below the Header question:
In our productive System we are using the new GL. If we simply copy a customer Client - for Hosting purposes -, who is using the 'old' GL, does that work without migrating frist the customers GL to new Version? Hope this clarifies the question ...
