Hi Team,

Can you help me in pointing to any plans or roadmap relating to SAP Lumira and SAP Analysis Office to be available on MAC?

Hi,

yes, we are waiting for a customer facing roadmap to be updated.

the beta is under way in H1 2014.

we're hopeful for an RTC in H2 - although i cannot be any more precise than that!  let's aim for "by Q4" - but that is a pure guess .

regards,
H

At BI2014 most Mac users were using a Windows VM to access Lumira

That works (I do the same) but only just. The VM needs a good chuck of RAM (3GB is the technical minimum, 4GB is better, but more is better still) and on an 8GB Mac that gets slow very quickly. Lumira in a Windows VM is painful on an 8GB Mac. A Mac native version would be much more usable.

I really don't want to have to buy a 16GB Mac just so I can run Lumira...

Steve.

Hi Tammy,

Even in my current assignment, we are giving VM to access SAP BO Analysis Office or Lumira.

But the problem is the client got his own user id and security provisioning done and we cannot integrate as it supports only MAC .

Well Guess have to wait for the update and ask SAP team for this.

Another important thing to remember is how Lumira works.

Sybase IQ runs in the background. So, it will be exciting to see what is used to replace it.

Note that Sybase IQ does not support the Mac OS X platform.

It IS coming, as has been pointed out on several webinars, and mentions at events.

It is not listed on the official roadmaps

Lumira:

Analysis Office:

For Lumira we asked at BI 2014 the other week and they said they were working on it.

You can register for this ASUG Analysis Office Roadmap and ask SAP on the webcast about it:

Same for Lumira - see these upcoming ASUG webcasts - especially Q&A:
