How generate a Earlywatch alert report adhoc

Hi all,

I have installed solution manager 7.1 sp 10.

I executed the Managed System Configuration and EarlyWatch Alert Management for a satellite system.

The periodic Earlywatch alert report is scheduled.

Now I want to schedule an EWA adhoc.

Could you please help me?

What are the steps to define it?

Hi Khaja,

In Solution Manager 7.1 sp. 10 there is no "System Monitoring" tab in SOLMAN_WORKCENTER transaction code.

There is "Technical Monitoring" but in this workcenter I can't create an EWA.

I just realized that SA38 blocks calling report RDSMOP_MAIN, try calling it via SE38.

Hello,

I have solution manager 7.1 sp10, , I confirm that with se38 the transaction RDSMOP_MAIN works.

For the missing  tab I thinks you should add your user some roles.

If you execute solman_setup and execute the point N° 1 ( create users ) this should solve your problem.

When I want to start a EWA, I use the old transaction (SA38 -> RDSMOP_MAIN) and navigate to my solution. Then go to Solution Monitoring -> EarlyWatch Alert and push Create. The newly created session can be activated by using SESSION_REFRESH in SDCCN.

It doesn't work.

When I executed the report RDSMOP_MAIN I received this message from the system:

This function is obsolete and not supported anymore.

Use the equivalent functions in the SAP Solution Manager work centers

(transaction SM_WORKCENTER) instead.

I try to navigate in SM_WORKCENTER but I don't find where I can generate an EarlyWatch Alert Report adhoc.
