WDJ Migration from 7.0 to 7.3 - Build Errors

Dear All,

We are migrating our Custom WebDynpro Projects from 7.0 to 7.3. We have a NWDI track of 7.3 which has the custom development SC's copied. When we try to create the dc Project/Sync through NWDS 7.3 we automatically get the pop up for migration and after migration gets completed we are getting hundreds of Build Errors which are coming from automatically generated WDJ codes. Sample Errors are shown below

Since this track was migrated/copied to 7.3 from 7.0 we are not able to add the dependent SC's for  WebDynpro which are mentioned in the SAP Note ( 1457908) like FACADE, etc. Are these build errors related to the missing SC's in the track. For some reason its not picking up and showing in the Check-in/Development Tab of CMS though the files was copied to the correct place. Only sap.com_EP_BUILDT (7.31) and sap.com_SAP_BUILDT (7.31).

Kindly suggest how to fix these Build Errors and let us know if you require any other information.

Question 2)

If we create a new Track the default dependency SC's given in the SAP Note for WDJ are coming. Whats the procedure to Migrate WebDynpro From 7.0 to 7.3. Should we copy/migrate the track and then create /sync dc project out of it and then fix errors or Create a Fresh Track/SC copy the source folder of the WDJ application from 7.0 and copy to the newly created dummyapplication on the same name.

Thanks Vijay and Anand for your suggestion. We have done all possible things, close/open create new workspace etc and also created an OSS message but still waiting for their response...

Hi Mohammad,

Yes it can be tha case that the build error which you are getting may be because of dependent SC's.

You can add the depenedant SC in your track.

The error seems to be with some dynamic nodes.

I think some dynamic nodes are missing or might have got deleted. Please have a check on dynamic nodes and the node structure created in your application.

or

try closing the project and opening it agian. and also try to Rebuild + Reload the project.
