Dear Experts,

We are using the Sales Employees in the Customer Group field, as per sap standard business requirement we have decided to use the actual field of sales employee that is partner function in customer master and in sales documents through employee ID for reporting purpose.  may I know what will be the impact on existing sales process  in sap system, if we change this field.

We are awaiting for your valuable replies on this subject.

Thanks and Best Regards,

We are using the Sales Employees in the Customer Group field

For what purpose, you were using this?  Though you have indicated, it is only for reporting purpose, still I am not sure whether it has any impact in any transaction code for pricing or only standard / zee reports.  If any validation is there for pricing based on this, then you need to foreclose all existing open sale orders once the configuration change is completed, create new sale orders; only then, system will fetch the right combination.

On the other hand, it is purely for reporting purpose, then you have to check what zee reports are available currently where coding changes would be there to validate as per the new configuration.

Dear Lakshmipathi ,

Thanks for the reply,  we are using this customer group field for sales employees for reporting purpose only not for pricing.

Hi,

Customer Group is a statstical field, you can use the partner Function for updating the sales employee and if required this can be passed onto COPA through KE41,

Only for the New Transactions this new change will be Reflected.

There will not be any Effect on the sales process.
