Hi experts,
at the moment we are using 3 Instaces on HP-UX and DB Sybase for SAP ERP.
Now, I would like to install one further dialog instance on Linux-Server.
But where do I find the installation documents for this?
I did click in SMP to Software Downloads->Installations and Upgrades->A-Z Index->ERP->ERP 6.0
But here I only find MAXDB and also Oracle.
So where can I find the documents for Sybase-DB?
Further, is there a kind of quick-guide how to install a further dialog instance?
Thank you very much for every tip.
Hi Christian
For Dialog installation its not required to mention any DB. basically CI(Central instance) share (SAPMNT) should to visible to Linux OS and this new dialog instance will use the profile path as \\(HP-UX host name)\sapmnt\sid\sys\profile. remaining installation steps are same like your Hp-UX dialog installation steps

Hi Christian
1. Have you install the HP-UX Dialog instance Installation ?
If yes, you have to follow the same steps for Linux Dialog instance
2. At the time of installation it will ask the CI profile path that is on
\\(CI Host name)\SAPMNT\SID\sys\profile
3. What is the current SAP System version? in that you have to select for Linux installation media, Kernel & Java components
Kindly refer the installation screen shot for Windows Dialog server on IBM OS/400 system (CI) which
we are installation in our environment, you can follow the same with your relevant selection
You can use the installation steps for SAPINST.exe & SWPM
SWPM - refer SAP Note
1680045 - Release Note for Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP05
3.1 Dialog instance select as used SAPINST.exe
3.2 Profile path as mention in the additional information
