Installation - IDES BW 7.0 /SEM 6.0

Dear friends,

I am going to install IDES BW 7.0 /SEM 6.0.

I checked SAP Note 1013702 - IDES BW 7.0 /SEM 6.0. Now my question is what i have to select in below screenshot ?

Because, SAP Note 1013702 - IDES BW 7.0 /SEM 6.0 says :

In general what is required for BW 7. 0 ? both AS ABAP + AS JAVA ?

Please help me. Thank you.

Hello

If you need BEX functionality then you need a Java stack.

So you need to select AS Java, BI Java, EP, EP Core and DI

Hi ,

If you want to have portal integration with BI ABAP system please select following usage types

AS-ABAP

AS-JAVA

EP-CORE

BI-JAVA

EP

Provide all the relevant DVDs for installation.

If the installer is providing you the options then you need to select them no matter what the installation is. My previous answer clarifies the use of Java stack for a BI system.

If you don't need a Java stack then you just select the AS ABAP. If you need a Java stack along with the ABAP then you need to select all of them except MI and PI.
