Dear Experts,
Everytime when I select the lock checkbox within Contract Management Header / Distribution it is getting unselected (unchecked) again immediately after. I would like find out what is the cause for. It is not possible to set the line locked. We are on SRM 701.
Can you kindly provide some hints for this issue.

What is your purpose of using the checkbox as far as I know it is used after you release the contract . Can you post the contract and then edit and try checking if the box can be selected .. should work .
Locked
The system sets this status when you choose Lock to make a central contract temporarily unavailable as a source of supply.
To unlock a locked central contract, choose Unlock.
