How to assign & release 0 (zero ) budget for project

Hi All ,

My client requirement is assign Zero budget  to project butt in Tcode CJ30 it is not accepting the Zero value . Also they want  to Release for same , so I want to know how to assign & release the zero value budget.

Hi,

As above suggest, for capturing released budget date, you can create a new user status like 'BREL' and when the budget will release, this status will automatically set. And you can easily track out the setting date via JEST and JCDS table.

Also there is a standard Tcode CJ3B, there you can enter the WBS element and find the relevant tranx document like rel or supplement budget with date.

Hi,

If you really want to have zero budget, you can budget WSB with 1 USD then release the same amount using CJ32. Again you have to undo all.

-> Edit released amount to zero in CJ32

->return 1usd from same WBS in Cj38.

Then if you run budget report like S_ALR_87013558 you would see zero budget & in Cj33 as zero release.

you can have simple Z program to do all these in single step & set all project to zero.

Recommended to Use this solution as last option..

Hi,

Entering zero value, you can not release the Budget.

If your requirement is to capture the date, then better create one more user status as 'Budget Release' and set it. Develop the report based on this status.

please convince your client about the budgeting

budgeting is carried to control the expenses ,zero budgeting concept is not feasible as there shall not be any check over to the orders or requirements.

one thing can be carried out is that ,deactivate AVAC so as to have the budgeting done over to the project with values and the system shall not restrict or check for any value of PR or PO created through the project.

but still i think that you should ask the client and convience him

otherwise without material component create project and go to CJ30 - give zero budget and save it

but system will not allow to release project

Thanks for reply but we required budget release date for Z report we made z report Sales order Vs budget , and search criteria is budget release date due we not release the budget the project not shows in Zreport ,  also I need one more help want to know Table for Budget release date or how to get find release date for budget ,

For budget value with zero is not allowed in projects.

And for your second query regarding budget updation report ..you can use CJI8 Report.
