EBP and SUS on Differnet Server

Hello SRM Experts,

We are in the process of implementing SUS (EBP SUS scenario). We would like to know if it is possible to be SUS and EBP on different server itself. If it is possible then could you please suggest how it is different from the scenario where EBP and SUS are on different SAP client but on the same server. Also what addition configurational setting we might need to do to enable this scenario (EBP and SUS on the different server).

Please do send me any document if you have on this scenario.

Thanks,

Jain

Hi Amit

It will be almost same as the scenario with different clients and same server.

Your RFC destination settings will be different and SLD business system settings will be different to some extent (as server changes).

Otherwise, I do not think there is much difference.

Thanks for your reply Ramki. Well do we require RFC connection or just HTTP connection will suffice the requirments. Also please let us know how it would be

different than the other case.

It's not different. It's going to be same as mentioned earlier.

You can't have a HTTP connection to SUS from EBP..it will be ABAP system only.

You will have HTTP connection to ABAP server for XI system in SRM.

Nothing changes. Pl do the config as you would have done when they are in the same server - diff clients.

Ramki,

My question is that why we need RFC connection from EBP to SUS. Only HTTP connection from EBP to XI (vice versa) and SUS to XI (vice versa) should be sufficient ?

Thanks,
