German customs changes the AES release of 2.1 to 2.2

Hello All,

We were informed about the fact that the German Customs changes the AES release from 2.1 to 2.2 in April 2014.

To meet the new requirements of the German customs, ATLAS AES customs process must be updated to the new release 2.2.

I need clarifications for the below queries.

1) Is it necessary to have a SAP GTS in version 10.0, and a SEEBUGER BIS version 5.6.2_Q2 to comply with new release?
     We currently have GTS 8 verison.

2) How do i update AES solution package in GTS from version 2.1 to 2.2?

Hi Shilpa,

Yes, you must have (at least) GTS 10.0 and BIS 5.6.2.  See SAP Notes 1710272 and 1826962.

SAP Note 1871781 contains information about updating the solution from 2.1 to 2.2.

Thanks a lot! Indeed it is very helpful.

I am now wondering if we can upgrade from GTS 8.0 to 10.0 in 3 weeks time!

Is there any workaround available? Kindly suggest.

Hi Shilpa,

Yes, you have my full permission to upgrade in 3 weeks time!  No workaround is possible or needed.

I think there's a "button" where you can mark a post as "helpful" .
