Document part field customization

Hello All,

       Is there anywhere we can customize DIR key field DOCUMENT PART for specific doc type.

I searched in DC10, but I get only Document Version Numbering only. Where will I find an option to customize DOCUMENT PART?

    Thanks for your hint!!!

I'm looking for a SPRO configuration option, where I can define my doc part values for specific doc type.

So when the user enters other doc part, it will not allow to create a document. is there anything like that?

Hi Saravana,

Could you check under SPRO --> Cross-Application components --> Document management

You may get some configuration steps if available.

When user creates document using CV01N, he may select the part name from the F4 list configured

Hi Deepak,

     F4 help in Doc.Part is nothing but the list of documents available for that doc type and version combination... it is not the F4 help which I wanted...

Do you have an idea how we can restrict a document from editing for any users apart from Super users... If I'm right, this is possible by Access control limits... is there anyother way we can do this?

Hi Saravana,

You may restrict access to users based on document type , status and document class using authorization objects.

Speck your ABAP consultant in se18 , check  BAdI:document_main01 or use user exit.
