installing SAP

I m doing ABAP traninig nd need to install full SAP ABAP on my pc. Can any non-BASIS like me, install full SAP Abap. if not then what r the minimum technical requirments I need to know. plz can someone provide me the step to install full SAP ABAP. thanks.

follow the installation guides : service.sap.com/instguides and select the SAP application you want to install and go through the document.

you need a license / contract with SAP in order to access those pages

a 4 year-old PC is enough for R/3 4.6b...

if you only want to do ABAP training, go buy the ABAP objects book at http://www.amazon.com/ABAP-Objects-Introduction-Programming-Applications/dp/0201750805

it contains a copy of MiniSAP.

didn't ABAP Objects just start with 640 kernel?

if so 4.6B would be useless with this book.

but any version will help him learn ABAP, might as well use one of the latest version.

bare minum is:

-> core2duo (or at least PIV with 3 GHz)

-> 2 GBRAM

-> 100-150 GB disk...sata-ii

-> windows server 2003 (no xp!!!)

-> network connection

which release are we talking about?
