DVM setup: Job CCMS_BI_SETUP canceled

Dear all,

I tried to setup DVM with the guided procedure in the workcenter "Solution Manager Configuration" but

I got in the first step "Activate BW Content" the following error:

"Job CCMS_BI_SETUP canceled"

In the job log are following informations displayed:

01.04.2014 14:47:16 Job started

01.04.2014 14:47:16 Step 001 started (program CCMSBI_SETUP_CONTROLLER, variant , user ID SM_BW_ACT)

01.04.2014 14:47:16 Failed to schedule the content activation job

01.04.2014 14:47:16 Error occurred, check the logs

01.04.2014 14:47:16 Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

The system log says:

SOLMAN_ADMIN deletes RFC destination 0050560C0A8B1ED3AEB3BB3A82B839A6

Does someone have an idea how to solve this issue?

Hello Joern,

Can you please check and let me know if you see any dumps in the system during the job execution time and also check if you see any logs in SM21.

Please share the logs.

No, there are no dumps in ST22. In SM21 is the following error message:

Hello,

Can you please let me know whether you have a seperate BW system or its just another client in the same Solution Manager system?

Also can you please check if you have configured the BW system in Step 2 of Basic configuration?

The BW is activated in the productive client of Solution Manager and step 2 of the Basic Configuration

was successfully done.

Is your Solution Manager productive client configured to work as BW client?

Did you run RS_MANDT_UNIQUE_SET  on the solman productive client with the correct client?

The step is green now - thanks for your help!

But now I have the next issue with the step "Update local DVM content". I got the error the following error message: "No read RFC for the system"

Do you know which RFC is needed in this step?

Hello,

I would suggest you to go through the documentation against every step.

But for updating the local content I think it it looking for the SAPOSS RFC as it downloads the content from SMP. Please check if SAPOSS is working.
