Excise - RG1 register reset

Hello,

We went live on SAP 4 years back, we used the RG1 register for a few days, however the users being naive to the system stopped using it. Now there is a proposal to start using the RG1 register from SAP from the current financial year.

I understand that the following tables need to be reset:-

J_1IRG1

J_1IRGSUM 

J_2IRG1BAL

but can someone throw light on how the tables i.e. which fields are to be updated in these tables? Also, do we need to delete the previous entries in the tables?

Hi,

Please refer the note- 951955 for the data to be updated in J_2IRG1BAL table.
J_1IRGSUM table should be updated with initial stock if any under column CUM_receipt qty.
J_1IRG1 gets updated when you run J1I5.
