SAP PI - Cannot launch ESR or Int. builder

Hello community,

I request your help please on a small issue  I cannot solve on PI.

I would like to launch the ESR and Int. Builder.

But each time,

I have a popup asking me to open/download a file named "repositroy.jnlp".

I have installed Java 6 as recommanded by a basis colleague here but still I have same issue.

I have checked on the net but did not find any helpfull topic.

Does anywone knows the reason of that issue and how to solve it ?

Thanks for your help,

SAP Newbie

Hi Mikhail,

TY for your help.

I have downloaded the files. But even after that I have extaclty same issue : asking me again to open/download directory.jnlp & repositroy.jnlp.

Even after downloading the file, when i try to start it again , it requests me again the same.

hmm, maybe you have association of .jnlp with browser. Try to make right click on jnlp file -> open with -> Java web start lancher

This is something not clear the point u raised.

Basis guy toled me with Java 6 (build 1.6.0_25-b06) it is enough.

But i don't see any "Java Web start" on my computer.

For you idea,

I have tried the "right click" and "open with": but I don't see "Java Web Start" :/..

It this included in my Java 6 version ?

Or shoudl i download a java web start ?

Sorry if my questions seems silly i'm not expert on SAP PI (and Java too)...

Hi Mikhail,

I think u helpt me

I found javaws and tried again the "open wtih ".

Now I could reach the prompt asking me to logon.

Then , i'm blocked because no autorization but that's a different issue .

Thx a lot for ur valuable help.

Hi,

You need to install Java web start along with JDK software. Download JRE software from below link and install it in your PC. And make sure to maintain JDK path in Environment variables as shown below.

Hello Ravi,

IE window closed and no

This is why I tried also the "download" option.
