material goes straight into 'unrestricted' even after QI has been setup

hi SAP gurus,

QI has been setup for this material, in the PO and also MIGO goods receipt, stock type has been defaulted to "QI" as well.

however after the GR has been posted and i checked MMBE, the stock went straight to "unrestriced".

how to i know if there's any user exit or setup in the QM that causes this?

Hi,

Were you able to get an inspection lot for this GR? Is the Q-info record maintained for the material?

This could be another reason besides the 'Post to Inspection stock' activation.

Please also check if there is any Dyanmic  modification rule assigned to lot and if its in a skip stage  check if AUTO UD program is scheduled to run in the background

Hope you have activated 01 Inspection type or equally customized Inspection type for that material. Check whether Post to Inspection Stock option has been activated for that material in Material master.

Hope Movement type in Goods receipt is 101.
