403 Forbidden Error

Hi,

I have configured ADS Document services completely, but I am facing the issue with regards to ADSUSER (Image 1)

ADSUSER Created in ABAP assigned all the roles also I have added the ADSUSER to ADSCallers group. ( Image 3 )

but I am unable to see the ADSUSER in ADSCallers group in visual admi (image 2)  where as i can see the same in portal ( Image 3)

Hi,

Thanks All.

The issue was solved by following the below step.

"I entered into Java Visual Administrator, selected cluster, expanded out "Server" then "Services" then scrolled down to "Security Provider" then in the components window I selected "sap.com/com.sap.engine.services.webservices.tool*wsnavigator" , clicked on the "Security Roles" Tab then under the "Security Roles" selected "WSNavigatorRole". From there I selected the edit button (Top Left - looks like a pencil) , under the mappings section clicked "Modify" then under "Security" selected "all" then Saved the results."

Hello Letz,

If your NW stack is matching to note 1177315 - ADS RFC destination test return 403 / 404 / 405 code then 403 code can be omitted.

Symptom


HTTP 403 / 404 / 405 code is returned from RFC destination ADS test.

Reason and Prerequisites


NW 04 / NW 7.0 / NW 7.0.1 release:
Because of Web Service Navigator authorization change, RFC connection test returns 403 code.


NW 7.1 / NW 7.11 release:
RFC connection test returns 404 code.


NW 7.20 / NW7.30 / NW7.31 release
RFC connection test returns 405 code.




Solution


Ignore these 403 / 404 / 405 HTTP return code.
Even if 403 / 404 HTTP code is returned from SM59 connection test, ADS functionality works without any problem.

Please make a test using SE38 tcode program fp_test_00 and revert back with result of test.
