Hi,
I am getting an error while installation an aditional application server on a currently running system. Looking at sapinst_dev it says"
ERROR 2014-03-31 03:46:48.752 [sixxcstepexecute.cpp:937]
FCO-00011 The step runBootstrap with step key |NW_DI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_DI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|di|0|runBootstrap was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step: Process call 'J:\usr\sap\DDD\D30\exe\jstart.exe pf=\\ddd-ddd-d1\sapmnt\DDD\SYS\profile\DDD_D30_ddd-ddd-03 -file=J:\usr\sap\DDD\D30\exe\startup.properties -nodename=bootstrap -launch' exits with error code 2. For details see log file(s) jstart_bootstrap_D30.log.).
There are already 2 app servers running on this system and we are trying to add 3rd.
jstart_bootstrap_D30.log details:
"Error occurred during initialization of VM java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/jvm/impl/lang/StringBuilder
I have checked which says error can be resolved by installing the app server before the patching. However we patched the same system way back in 2012.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
Pankaj

Hi Pankaj
1. Just restart the system and try again in the same phase
2. Refer the SAP Note 1947115 - Java startup issue during Installation / System Copy on step 'runBootStrap'
