Hi,
I'm a BC administrator. I have to set up the CUA in our landscape. But before that, I have to know if I set up the CUA, and use it for a while, and after that, I want to remove it, what should I do with the users created and managed with the CUA? Will they be lost? locked? Can I recover them in each child system?
Thanks,
Mohamed
Hi Mohammed,
Here you go with the complete procedure..
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/ea/9abf3b4f995f1ce10000000a114084/content.htm
Its safe to delete the CUA and users would not be lost if removed according tot he prescribed steps..
Also note, a few improvements in CUA in ECC 5.0. (Information only)

Hope it helps.

Hello Mohamed,
When you delete CUA No affect will happen on users as such neither will they be deleted nor locked. Since no changes will occur on the users the question of recovering them will not arise unless you are talking of one situation.
Suppose two systems A and B are part of CUA where A is the master CUA system and B is the child system. When you create the user you will create it in A. The user will not get created in B unless you assign it roles in system B. Using A whenever you assign roles to the user in system B the user will also get created in B.
Now assuming that the user has been created in A only but has not been assigned roles in B (in nutshell it has not been created in B) in that case if you remove the CUA the user will show up in system A but not in system B.
Please award points for useful answers.
Regards.
