I am trying to install Netweaver 2004s SR2 on windows platform using distributed installation. We have installed oracle 10G on a separate server and want our Application server to connect to database already existing there. My central instance service is installed successfully but when i am trying to install database instance setup is picking local host as database host and does allow me to change it. I am stuck here because we dont want to install oracle on application server any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks can you please provide details how my application server will interact with database instance on different host. Because in all installation procedure we dont mention anywhere about our database host.
