Hi Experts ,

I am doing SCM 7.0 to SCM 7.0 EHP3 upgrade using SUM tool.

It shows the following error in during the phase " Decide about Stack file" and stopping the update

ERROR " the stack XML file "name" does not fit the current system

Component BI_CONT release 704 from XML differs from 707 in source system

'

Component EA-IPPE release 400 SP level 0017 from XML differs from 0021 in source system

............

..........

totally for 18 components

When I checked in LMDB maintained SP level differs from the actual level in system

How to resolve this diffrence and continue with the upgrade

Can we edit the XML stack file..If so , please tell me the procedure..

Please guide for the issue resolution

Note : SUM tool shows the system target and source versions correctly

I will appreciate all your help.

Thanks a ton

Try deleting all system data in SLD, LMDB and SMSY - maybe you have to wait a few minutes till all data is gone. After that, push your system data again using RZ70. When the system appears in SLD, you may push it to LMDB using RLMDB_SYNC_TECHNICAL_SYSTEM.

If this doesn't help: Do you have configured RFC connections in your satellite system? And does it have a current version of host agent / diagnostics agent? (Sometimes you just have to restart them.)

Hello Daniel,

It is recommended not to edit the stack.xml file.

If the components history in LMDB is old data, then please try to connect the system to SLD and check whether it is getting updated in SLD.

Once SLD has the corrrect components you can check in LMDB because in your solution manager system the SLD and LMDB sync job would be running every 10 minutes.

Revert in case of any issues.

Regards,.

Nirmal.

Hi,

First od all you need to check that what are the patches that are displayed in your solution manager and the SLD related to this system.

If things are wrong there that rerun the data transfer to the SLD and then sync LMDB.

You can also go in LMDB and run the varification check .

Once that is green then you need to download the XML file again.

There is no solution other than that.

Have you got any of the SCM sysystem update ?

So please correct the settings and generate the file again.

Thanks

Sorry, there is no quick and easy fix.

The way forward involves defining the system correctly in LMDB/SMSY

Hi Daniel,

Did you send components data from your SCM system using transaction code RZ70 to your solution manager system?

Thanks
