NW 7.3 Java and psaptemp requirement

With BI NW 7.3 java(not abap), we noticed an increase in PSAPTEMP when compared to our another landscape BI 7.01 java

Do any of you have insight about which BI java component contributes?

Temporary tablespaces are used for operationsfor sorting data results on disk and for joins

it is regular or at sometime it is getting fill up and also check  time.check from these query or

use  views  to find out the issue v$sort_segment and v$sort_usage

Do you have same database release and patch on both BI JAVA environments ?

Hi Deepak,

Yes, we have the same db version 11.2.0.3 on both the databases.

Eager to findout if the SCPM(supply chain performance managerment) or BI Java makes the difference.

Try to identify the objects holding or using the temp segments.

Hi Vijay,

I feel performance management in Supply chain is leading to high usage of PSAPTEMP. Basically it could high amount of data being pulled & sorted or backend cube design has some problem which is leading to high usage of temp space.

Please break down to scenario level to trace which process is leading to high usage.
