Hi,

We are in process of setting up a DR for SAP NW 731 ,with MS SQL 2012 Always on Feature.

Is there any specific guide for this? As of now we have Prod running and we have system installed for DR with ASCS on app server and when we are proceeding with DB instance , but SWPM is picking the Production instance instead of that on DR server.

This is first time we are doing installation with MS SQL 2012 Always on feature so if there is any specific guide or instruction more than welcome.

Thanks ,

Tushar

OS : Windows Server 2012

Hi TP,

There is a Microsoft document available at the link below

http://blogs.technet.com/b/canitpro/archive/2013/08/20/step-by-step-creating-a-sql-server-2012-

alwayson-availability-group.aspx

Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak ,

Thanks for the quick reply. My concern is that our DB team has already installed MS SQL 2012 as stand alone , but instead of picking this instance(i.e. DR SQL Instance) , its showing Production SQL instance in swpm(on Database instance installation). Is it cause DB instance is on Cluster along with Production instance.

Note: For DR we are following SWPM as Distributed Installation

Thanks,

Tushar

I feel so.

Can you check the configuration details in the blog below and check your setup

SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn – Part 3 – SAP configuration with two Secondary Replicas - Running SAP App...

Hope this helps.
