Service Desk/Incident Mgmt not working on Enterprise Portal

Former Member

Hello,

We have configured service Desk in our solution manager system.
Currently
end users are using Enterprise Portal as front end. We are publishing
tcode solman_workcenter from solution manager on EP for end users to
check the status of their messages and process the messages from their.

Issue what we are encountering is (screenshots attached):
1. We are able to open the tcode solman_workcenter
2. We can display the overview and messages tab under incident
management
tab
3. When we click on the message to open it in web UI it is giving
error –
The requested resource does not exist.

Same functionality is working when we follow the same steps after login
to SAP GUI.

Request you to please let us know what can be done.

Regards,

Hetal

Hi Ranjith,

Thanks for your valuable inputs, I have tried SM_Workcenter but the problem is it is opening in a new window and sap gui screen remains in the background.

Instead now I have created URL iview and it is now working fine.

Hi,

You should use SM_Workcenter as the URL which is the Webdynpro URL. Else  you can provide the SM_CRM or WUI transactions for the WebUI.

Also for all the URLs in the "SM" space, you need to activate the service by going to /nsicf

Hi Ranjith,

Thanks for your inputs. There is a webdynpro application which we are currently using AGS_WORKCENTER. This is the solution manager workcenter abap webdynpro application. We have configured portal as per the SAP Note: 1399645 - SAP Solution Manager in SAP Enterprise Portal
We will try webdynpro application SM_Workcenter abap webydnpro application.

There are some SPRO settings.

Go to SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Technical Settings -> Work Center and read through all documentations and possible settings. This should fix your issue.

For more info see "Prerequisites" under "Using Workcenters" in the below link.
