Hi experts,

is it possible to connect a 3rd party via saprouter to our sap-systems?

Or is it just possible to connect SAP to the systems?

I already found one entry in SCN, however there was also no solution provided.

Kind regards

Hi Christian,

To connect your SAP system a 3rd Party needs SAP GUI setup at their end & you can provide the sap router string to connect your system via SAP GUI.

For security purposes you can configure sap router string with password option(authentication to access SAP system),so that after confirming job/consultancy by 3rd party you just need to change the password under router string only in regards no one can access your SAP system/network.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks,

Hi Christian,

You can perform some tasks at your end.

1. Are you able to maintain connection via trnx OSS1.

2.Have you maintained entries under /etc/services for port 3299.This should be sapdp99  3299

Thanks,

Gaurav

Hello guys,

In our case P <ip> <ip> * is maintained.

However, it is still not running, so the 3rd party can't connect.

As far as I know, * only releases port 3200 to 3299, however this should be ok, or?

Kind regards

Hello Gaurav,

but we would prefer, if SAP-Gui can be used instead of web-gui.

Can't I use SAPROUTER for the connection to a 3rd party?

Kind regards

Hi Christian,

Please check this thread -

have you tried adding your saprouter IP address in front end sap logon in system connection parameter--> saprouter string.

Hi Christian,

To access SAP system your consultant or the person can use webgui my means we can access SAP from the browsers like Internet explorer etc.

For this you need to map your SAP server internal IP with a static IP.

Thanks,

Gaurav

Hello Deepak,

yes. What we want, is that a 3rd party (consultant) gets access to our sap-system.

But the consultant is not in our network (so not via VPN or Citrix).

But my question now is, if the can access the SAP-System (gui) also via the saprouter, like SAP is accessing our systems in case of an OSS-Message.

YOu know what I mean?

Kind regards
