Hi Experts,

We are installing SAP SolMAN 7.1 SR1 system on RHEL 6.0 and we are struck in the "Instal instance basics of SCS01" phase related to

SAPJVM as below :

The sapcpe_sapinst.log says as below :

SAP note 1603093 - SAP JVM 4.1 parameters NetWeaver 2004 and 7.0

has some instructions to be carried out but it requires to launch config tool, but unfortunately it is not yet extracted in our server at /usr/sap/<SID>/JXX/j2ee/config" Please advice how to proceed in this case.

Thanks !!!

Regards,

Srikanth

Hi,

Thanks for all your inputs !!!

I was able to resolve the error, I have downloaded the SAPJVM4.SAR file from SAP Market Place and placed the extracted files in the respective location (took reference from one of our existing EP system for jvm files and locations)and did a retry... it went through without any issues

Please provide the output of

ls -la /usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64

Check whether the SAP JVM files are present somewhere on the server. if you are able to locate then copy the directory to the usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64 location

Hi Srikant,

Manually run the below command

sapcpe pf=<use the dvebmgs<xx> instance profile>

Also checked the source directory exists or not

/usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.016 exist or not

Hi Ashutosh,

Thanks for the quick response !!!

Executed the cpe command it says LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not set :

./sapcpe pf=/sapmnt/SM1/profile/SM1_DVEBMGS00_hnpclsm1

Could not open the ICU common library.

The following files must be in the path described by

   the environment variable "LD_LIBRARY_PATH":

   libicuuc.so.40, libicudata.so.40, libicui18n.so.40 [nlsui0.c 1548] pid = 24028

LD_LIBRARY_PATH is currently set to <not set>  [nlsui0.c 1551] pid = 24028

I have set it to kernel path now. But it is temporary I believe., how to set it permanently in Linux ?

The source directory /usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.016 doesn't exist...

You need to add/modify the .sh and .csh files present under the home directory of the sidadm user.

Hi Srikant,

Manually create the source directory /usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64/sapjvm_4.1.016 and then create the file sapjvm_4.lst (just create it with touch command)

Rerun the sapinst , let see what happen?

Hi Srikanth,

Kindly check the location of jvm in /usr/sap/SM1/SCS<xx>/exe

If you find the SAPJVM_4 placed it in /usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64 and rename the folder to

SAPJVM_4.1.016.

Hi Srikanth,

Can you paste the sapinst logs and sapcpe log.

Also paste the output of below command

ls -la /usr/sap/SM1/SYS/exe/jvm/linuxx86_64
