About SAP router string ?

Hi all,

I want to know about what is the best solution to connect a SAP server using SAP GUI. from outside the LAN network.

1. SAP router string

2. VPN client

Please give your best response......

SAPGUI - best is SAP Router String

but if you have webdynpro URLs or http links then you will need to use VPN.

VPN client also allows you access to other folders and utilities however router string GUI will restrict you completely within the SAP GUI screen

Actually, in my Company,SAP ERP implementation is going on(almost done,Go Live Date 1-April-2014) But SAP Basis consultant he emphasize on VPN solution rather than SAP router string.

But we are think SAP router string is best solution for SAP GUI.

But he ignored us.

What we can do.

if implementation is going on then VPN is best. Router string has limitation.

that time you have to need of router string ?
