RFC to Trusted System - Remote Log on not authorised.

Hello,

On one side I have Solution Manager (7.1/Windows/DB2), on the other side I have our DEV system (iSeries/DB2).

I have setup a user on each side called RFC_SM.  Both users have SAP_ALL (I know this isn't ideal but just for the purposes of troubleshooting I've given them both SAP_ALL)

I've configured the RFCs on both sides to log on using this RFC_SM user.

And yet I'm still seeing:

No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust ed RC=2).

Connection test works no problem.  Remote logon just will not work.

I've asked SAP for some assistance but, as usual, it's now been 3 days without so much as a change in status so here I am.

What am I missing here guys?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Paul,

Make these system as trusted in  each by entering these details in table RFCSYSACL  manually or you can do it from t-code SMT1.

Ensure the RFC user has authorisation objects S_RFC and S_RFCACL

Hi Paul,

1.   First create ‘normal’ RFC destination

2.   Change this one to trusted rfc with transaction SMT1

     Do this for both systems.

Make sure your user has RFC authorisations (add via PFCG)

Provide S_A.SYSTEM profile to the user and see if that helps.

I thought giving SAP_ALL to these users would automatically give them authorisation to the objects you have mentioned?

Is that not the case?

SAP_ALL profile does not contain S_RFC_ACL and S_RFC authorization objects. Please maintain them separately.

Ok I've created a role and added authorisation objects:  S_RFC and S_RFCACL.

Again, this has been done on both sides.

Same error.  No authorisation.

I'm currently reviewing the note suggested.

Hello Paul,

We had faced the same issue even after adding S_RFCACL. Create the trust relationship on both the systems for each other and then try. It should work.

Just do as Mr Kubrak advise.

You can also check SAP Note 128447 - Trusted/trusting systems

Hi Paul Asthon,

Check the below sapnotes and also assigned S_RFCACL object is assigned to both the users  or not.

Also check the consistency between SMT1 and SMT2 transaction

Hello Paul,

Please maintain authorization objects S_RFC and S_RFCACL:

No authorization  to logon as trusted system | SCN
