How to install EEM Robots on end user hosts

Hi All,

Can any one guide me through the procedure to install the EEM Robots on end user machines. I have gone through some documents and links but all of them providing details on how to set up robots using SLD but we dont have SLD setup in our SOLMAN 7.1 (SP10) system.

Hi Ashok,

EEM robots nothing but your SMD agents. you can use the similar smd approach.

Please clarify one thing, which tool should I use to install the robots on the end user machine? SWPM or SAPInst? and should the tool be installed on the end user machine or can I use it from my machine itself?

Hi Ashok,

You can use sapinst locally to install the SMD agent.

So download the software, put it on your client pc, install an smd agent and register it in your sld and solman system.

Process shouldn't take more then half an hour.
