How to setup Global Transport Directory

Former Member

Hi All,

Recently I installed two ERP systems(say DEV and PRD) and now I want to configure the TMS.

My question here is:

Now both systems have their own local transport directory, how to make the transport directory of domain controller(DEV) as global ?

I've set this global parameter "SAPTRANSHOST" with value of DEV's hostname and then restart both systems but no luck.

transdir both transdir and DIR_TRANS of PRD still point to local transport directory.

So do I need to use NFS to export DEV's trans dir. to PRD's host, then do some configuration in TMS???

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Christian

The transport directory (DIR_TRANS) from the DC should be mounted on all the systems.

You need to do an NFS mount on all the other systems.

Thanks Reagan.

What's the next step ? Manually change DIR_TRANS in instance profile and transdir in transport profile, then restart both systems ?

I mean how to make PRD aware of this and access global trans dir instead of local one ?

Thanks again !!!

With regards,

Chris

Hello Chris

Delete the TMS configuration on the PRD system.

Reconfigure the TMS on PRD and include the system into the DC.

Go to the DC and approve the PRD system.

Adjust the system with the controller from Tx STMS

Hello Christian.

What operating system are you using, which system will be the Gloabl Transport Host. Do you have root permissions to both systems operating system.

Thanks
