Installation of ECC 6.0 EHP 6 IDES

Hi Experts,

I want to install ECC EHP 6 on Windows Server 2012 with MSSQL SERVER.

I tried 4 times but didn't get success everytime, system Fails at Import ABAP steps.

I am trying with BD IDES of EHP6.

If possible please explain me the steps from scratch as again I am going to install Fresh on my Machine.

Hi Experts,

When I install with the EHP 6 inst exports, It get installed succefully.

I am getting only when I am installing with BD inst exports.

Hi Rohit,

Start the installation and when you will get error in ABAP import stage please post the errors here.

Hi Rohit

You should clean the system and again start the installation from scratch.

1. Your machine name CAN NOT be more than 13 characters. Otherwise you’ll get an error during installation.

2.increase your virtual memeory.

3.install JDK CORRECT one.

HI SHIVA,

1) I set Java Path in Environment Variables

2) I install MS SQL SERVER 2012

3) After this I start Installation Master and followed the steps with Typical Options

4) I give UC Kernel

5) At the time of Installation export I give Inst Exports from BD IDES

6) and followed other every other step.

7) everything goes fine till Import ABAP

In this out of 143, few get success, few get failed.

Please guide me.

Are you using SWPM ( software provisioning  manager ) to for installation ?

if you are using SWPM not required to install java and no need to set java environmental path.

1. increase swap space double of the RAM and maintain ip address in hosts file.

2. start SWPM tool  and your remaining steps same
