Old Document Versions in Project Structure

Hi,

In our environment we link some documents to the project structure in project builder (CJ20N).  If we update the document to make a new version, both versions are displayed in the project structure.

Is there any way to stop display of obsolete document versions without manually removing them each time?

Hi,

Do you create your documents from DMS transactions? If yes then Do they automatically link to WBS or you manually link from object link option?

Yes, we use CV0_N to create documents in DMS.

We are linking manually... is there a way to make the link automatic?

Hi,

Yes, it can be done from BAPI_BUS2172_OBLINK_ADD. I think from this, you can add object links automatically to your DIRs.

But the question is: If you create a DIR of 00 version and also WBS is linked in it automatically. Then it will display in Project Structure. Now if you change to new version 01 then this will also link with WBS and will display in structure. So how system will remove the WBS object links from old versions DIRs and how system will check that a particular document is of latest version.

Discuss with your abaper if he can help you out to develop this logic.
