Does anyone know if Standard Edtion for MS SQL 2008 R2 and 2012 are supported by SOLMAN 7.1 SPS10? PAM only shows support for MS SQL 2008 R2 and 2012, but does not specify the edition.
Hi Andre,
Check sapnote 62988 - Service packs for MS SQL Server
"SQL Server Standard Edition is not supported in SAP environments"
Supported editions
All supported SQL Server versions are tested by SAP in the Enterprise Edition only. Therefore, only
the Enterprise Edition is supported. The SAP support may not be able to solve problems that occur
with other editions.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Martina

Hi,
If you have the licensing rights to use the Solution Manager, automatically also have the rights to use the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server. You can download it from SAP Marketplace.
I have a SolMan PROD installed on SQL Server 2008 R2.

By default it will not be supported by SAP. There is a few indication in other thread mentioned that you will have a problem since SOLMAN 7.1 has a infocube/BW functionalities which need to use table partition.
But I'm not sure if you will have any problem installing. Otherwise, has to downgrade to lower version.
I'm also still doing some reading. Could you also share the information if you manage to solve this.
