Increase the max. amount of modi in WebGUI

Hello everybody

I have a short question and I hope there is a short answer.

"How can I increase the max. amount of modes in SAP WebGUI?"

For the standard SAPGUI client, I know the parameter rdisp/max_alt_modes (Transaktion RZ11), but where can I set this value for WebGUI?

Thanks for your time

Yours sincerely

Hi Benjamin,

I guess it would help to understand why exactly you need to increase the maximum amount of modes in SAP WebGUI?

What exactly is being done here with the WEBGUI service? What transaction/s is being called?

Are you trying to restrict the amount of WEBGUI sessions that a user can logon too?

This is not possile. See the note

314568 SAP GUI for HTML functionality / Limitations / Sp. Behaviour

"

  • Multiple Sessions and Inter Mode Communication (IMC)

SAP GUI for HTML doesn't support multiple sessions
and IMC. Users can only work within a single session. When a user tries to
create a second session, the system responds with the message " Maximum number
of sessions reached". If users want to work in multiple sessions they have to do
multiple logins.

Hello Oisin

My idea was to completly remove the client based SAP GUI and use WebGUI instead. But if I can't open more than one mode, then I can't do that

But what I not understand is: I can open more then one TAB in browser and open the WebGUI twice. Now I can open in one TAB, lets' say, SE80 and in another TAB SE01. That works normally...
