Good morning,

Our client wants a project code with the following masks:

XX0000-0000.

Please advise how to proceed with it.

Best regards,

Nat

Hi,

As I understood, you if CR is your Project ID and 1401 is your coding mask. Then you have to maintain a special character, which separates Project ID and mask.

I think CR1401 is not possible. You can create CR-1401.

Hi Shishir,

You understood correctly; I hope that someone could let me know if there's a way to workaround it.

Hi Nat,

yes ":"is definitely visible while creating project. As per SAP standards CR1401 is not possible. you can have any special character in between CR and 1401.

Hi Nat,

u cant have both numeric and alphanumeric in single word "XX0000". U can make the same as "XXXXXX"

and there should be a specific project ID and Project ID and coding mask should be separated by a special character.

u can make the coding mask as explained below

   Project ID     CODING MASK

1)  A               :XX-0000-0000

2) A               :XXXXXX-0000

Hi Kusam,

thank you for your prompt reply.

I have a doubt regarding the coding mask that you described: will the special character : be visible?

Our client doesn't want any special characters in the Project mask. ie project code CR1401 instead of CR-1401.

regards,

Nat
