Hello All,
I have installed SAP NWDS from the DVD ( SAP NETWEAVER APPLICATION SERVER JAVA EE 5 Edition ) provided by SAP .
After installation, when I opened NWDS --> Windows --> Open Perspective ,
I'm not able to see the Webdynpro Perspective.
<b>
1. Without this perspective can I develop WebDynpro applications ?
2. If not, then what is the procedure to incorporate that Webdynpro Perspective in my NWDS ?</b>
Regards,
Deepu.k
Hai,
Check Whether the Webdynpro plugin is installed or not with your nwds.
Windwos>Preferences>Workbench>Perspectives>
if you are able to see the Webdynpro in left side ,close nwds and delete the .metada folder from the workspace . and start the nwds agian.
regards,
naga

Hi Deepu,
Try deleting the .metadata file which is in your workspace. Reopen the SAP NDS again. I guess this would be fine

Hi deepu,
I'm afraid web dynpro is not available yet for the JEE 5 pre-release of Java Server.
The JEE 5 server serves as a preview of SAP's new fully JEE 5 compliant NetWeaver WEB-AS.
the latest edition that is out now that supports web dynpro still is NW 2004s (SP9) running Java WEB-AS 7.00.9 as far as I know.
If you look in the downloads section of the SDN it shows that the JEE5 trial version does not yet support web dynpro.
This is probably because of the big difference in Java 1.4(J2EE) and Java 1.5(JEE 5).
For Java Web Dynpro you'll need a NetWeaver 2004s Server (7.00.9) running on JDK 1.4.2_09.
